In order to adhere to proper social distancing recommendations due to the continued spread of COVID-19 and for the health and safety of Dakota County SWCD staff, partner organization staff, and Dakota County residents, all Landscaping for Clean Water classes (Introduction class, Design workshop, or Maintenance workshop) are cancelled through April 16th.
In the coming weeks, staff will evaluate options for future in-person classes scheduled for late April through July as these classes may also need to be cancelled in accordance with local and federal recommendations. We apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause and we appreciate your patience during this trying time.
Because of this, staff is working hard to bring the 2020 Landscaping for Clean Water season to you through your computer! All class formats will be conducted virtually, either through live webcasts or pre-recorded videos with all class materials available online. If you are interested in learning more about what you can do to bring water quality and pollinator benefits to your yard, please sign up for the free Introduction class!! ---
We offer free introductory and maintenance workshops each year! Attending an introductory workshop is your first step towards creating a beautiful garden or shoreline
project that protects local water quality! Whether you're interested in creating your own new garden, or are simply interested in learning more about Minnesota native
plants and water quality, these evening workshops are for you. Already have a raingarden, native garden, or shoreline project? Then you can attend one of our maintenance
workshops to learn how to maintain your garden and deal with challenges throughout the seasons!
Workshops are approximately an hour long (maintenance workshops are 90 minutes), with time for questions at the end. Attendance is free, but we do ask that you pre-register below. All ages are welcome! You can register for any workshop, regardless of where you live.
