Clean Water Fund: Clean Water Projects in the North Cannon River Watershed
The Clean Water Fund: "Protecting and restoring Minnesota's waters for generations to come"
The Clean Water Fund is administered by the Minnesota Board of Water and Soil Resources (BWSR) and funded through the Clean
Water, Land, and Legacy Amendment approved by Minnesota voters in 2008. BWSR has awarded a $150,000 Clean Water Fund grant
to the North Cannon River Watershed Management Organization for the establishment of structural and vegetative best
management practices that reduce storm water runoff and retain water on the land to reduce the downstream movement of
sediment, nutrients, and pollutants within the watershed. The grant period started on January 1, 2010 and expires on
December 31, 2011.
